A journey back in time to ancient underground Neapolis
Visit the Complex of San Lorenzo Maggiore and take a journey back in time from the 5th century BC. until the end of the 18th century A.D. Immerse yourself in the subsoil of Naples, go down to 10 meters deep. In this path you will discover the secrets that are hidden in the ancient Neapolis Buried, the complex constitutes in fact a perfectly preserved historical testimony, of how Naples has evolved over time. This organization remained in the light until the last years of the 5th century AD, when, having filled the area with layers of an alluvial nature, the following transformations began, culminating in the 13th century with the construction of the convent and the Gothic basilica, which led to the definitive obliteration of all previous structures.
